February 14th, 2019 Small groups of educators visit businesses to learn about career pathways and local opportunities, as well as to connect real world of work scenarios to learning in the classroom.

• Goal – Overview of PBL, prepare teachers to ask questions that will result in authentic PBL in the classroom. Expose teachers to career resources in the county and highlight ways OMJ can help with PBL scenarios.

9:00-10:15am: Pickaway County YMCA, 440 Nicholas Dr, Circleville, OH 43113

• Goal – Teachers experience the tour looking for real-world connections to the classroom and increased awareness of local career pathways and opportunities.

10:30-12:30pm: (Tour and Lunch) Health Care Logistics, 450 Town Street, Circleville, OH 43113 Bethany Reid, Business Owner Ryan Scribner, Economic Development Director- Overview

• Goal – Teachers look for real-world connections to the classroom and increased awareness of local career pathways and opportunities.

1:30-2:30pm: Owens & Minor Distribution, 2820 Global Court, Lockbourne, OH 43137 Trevor Bostelman, DC Manager

• Goal – Teachers experience the tour looking for real-world connections to the classroom and increased awareness of local career pathways and opportunities.

2:30-3:00: Tour debrief and evaluations during return trip to OMJ

• Goal – teachers leave with increased awareness of local career pathways and opportunities, as well as authentic PBL starting points and contacts.
