Problem Based Learning is an instructional method using hands-on, real-world problem solving. PBL is the answer to “Why do I need to learn this?” and “Why aren’t students better prepared for the workforce?”Studies comparing learning outcomes for students taught via problem based learning vs. traditional instruction show that when implemented well, PBL improves engagement, collaboration, critical thinking and commitment.

Students get excited by authentic projects tied to a real need in their community and by becoming a part of the solution. Business adds value in helping teachers create meaningful tasks and business is the expert in this area.  PBL cannot happen without business and community engagement – we need your help.
